The Italian city of Pisa has decided to add a towering Ferris wheel to its roster of tourist attractions.

Liz O’ Brien ticked off her continental bucket list with a Contiki ‘European Highlights’ tour in London, Paris, Nice, Monaco, the French Riviera, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Rhine Valley, St Goar, Munich, Edam and Amsterdam    

More than 600 years after the Italian city of Pisa’s most famous monument was built, construction starts in June of a modern glass and steel building that will simulate a tilt with a trick of lighting.

An Italian woman plunged to her death from the Leaning Tower of Pisa in an apparent suicide as tourists watched in horror, police said.
