The Court of Criminal Appeal has increased by two years the prison sentence imposed on a Dublin man for killing a truck driver in a hit-and-run incident after the victim tried to stop a group of people from stealing diesel from two trucks.

A man has been convicted by a jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of the manslaughter through dangerous driving of a Lithuanian truck driver almost two years ago.

Gardaí are tonight continuing to question a second man over the alleged hit-and-run death of a Lithuanian man in north Dublin.
