TULLOW OIL, the Irish-founded oil and gas exploration company, has kept up its steady stream of positive news ahead of its interim results next month, by announcing a further significant oil find in one of its African bases.

TULLOW Oil has finally received conditional formal approval from the Ugandan Government for its purchase of the 50% stake in two licences previously owned by former production partner, Heritage Oil.

Dublin-based exploration company Tullow has seen its first half revenue boosted by $57m (€45m) thanks to an uplift in oil prices compared to the same period last year.
