Residents opposed to a contested windfarm development in West Waterford are to hold a public information evening this week.

Waterford City and County Council has refused planning permission for a windfarm project close to Dungarvan.

Cutbacks at Donegal County Council meant gullies and drains outside Letter-kenny General Hospital had not been cleaned or maintained for seven months.
