A witness to the car crash that killed three members of the same Cork family has told how the driver seemed to accelerate in their direction in the moments before the collision.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has said that it is providing consular assistance to the family of an Irish toddler who died in a car crash in England yesterday afternoon.
