SANTIAGO BOTERO put recent mountain misery behind him to take victory in stage 15 of the Tour de France to Les Deux Alpes yesterday.

Santiago Botero reaped the harvest of months spent training in the Colombian mountains to beat Lance Armstrong into second place in today’s Tour de France time-trial.

Lance Armstrong became only the fifth man to win three consecutive Tour de France titles in a party atmosphere in Paris today.
