A NEW promenade-style dance play takes as its starting point a psychiatric hospital. Marble & Bread is opening this week in Limerick.

Up to half a million people are expected to flock to thousands of venues nationwide as they open their doors to the public this evening for a free and fun-filled celebration of heritage, culture, arts and music.

The 162-year-old history of Limerick School of Art and Design was celebrated at the weekend when leading alumni returned to recognise the contribution of their old alma mater to the Irish world of art and design.
