A call has been made to give Killarney’s famed jarveys improved access to the town’s national park in a move to help ease traffic congestion.

Dozens of applications have been received for a single Killarney jarvey licence — the first hackney horse and carriage licence to have been publicly advertised in generations.

THERE were further calls yesterday for mediation in the horse dung row between the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) and Killarney jarveys.
