A homeless Dubliner, who stabbed a 23-year-old to death last year, has been found guilty of manslaughter by reason of self-defence.

The jury in the trial of a homeless man charged with murder has been given three potential verdicts, depending on whether he acted in self-defence and, if so, the type of force used.

A murder trial jury has been told that the main issue of the case is whether a 34-year-old Dublin man acted in self-defence when he stabbed a 23-year-old to death last year.
