Amid speculation surrounding the future prospects of Irish drivers Kris Meeke and Craig Breen, both will start out today’s Rally GB, the final round of the World Rally Championship, with the ambition of achieving impressive results.

Ford’s Jari-Matti Latvala held a 12.9-second lead at the end of an action-packed opening day of the Wales Rally GB, as hail, sleet, ice and torrential rain caused major problems for the World Rally Championship fraternity.

Fermanagh’s, Garry Jennings, co-driven by Cork’s, David Moynihan were the top Irish crew in the 50-stage mile Advance Windows Systems Rally that took place in the forests of Sweet Lamb and Hafren in Wales.
