Gardaí and customs officials in Dublin have arrested three men after the seizure of two million cigarettes worth €860,000.

A Dublin Circuit Court judge has ordered that over €100,000 seized from a Tallaght taxi driver as part of a garda investigation into drug dealing be handed over to the State.

A man who was caught with €3.3m worth of heroin in what Judge Desmond Hogan described as "a transit house and distribution centre" has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
