Residents of Cork’s lower harbour have “no faith” in Indaver to ensure a proposed incinerator would be safe in the event of an explosion or fire.

Indaver, which was previously refused planning permission for an incinerator in Cork Harbour, is to lodge another application next week for a €160m incinerator in Ringaskiddy.

AN BORD PLEANÁLA has refused Cork harbour residents — who have spent nine years fighting against the construction of a €150 million Indaver incinerator — further time to investigate new documentation supplied by the waste management company.
