The Court of Criminal appeal (CCA) has dismissed an appeal brought by a Scottish man against his conviction for the murder of 54-year-old Waterford mother of two Mary "Mamie" Walsh almost three years ago.

A 61-year-old Scottish man was jailed for life at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin this evening after he was convicted of the murder of 54-year-old Waterford mother-of-two Mary "Mamie" Walsh.

The man accused of killing a 54-year-old loan company agent was a “Walter Mitty” a murder trial jury heard today.
