More than 20,000 homes and businesses were left without power across Kerry yesterday as Storm Ophelia wreaked havoc from the early hours.

Landslides, flooded roads, and major bridges which were impassable for the first time in recent memory were recorded in Kerry after torrential rainfall in coastal and mountainous areas overnight on Monday and for most of yesterday.
