A series of clashes in southern Afghanistan left 43 suspected Taliban militants dead, while a roadside bomb killed two Nato soldiers and wounded three others, officials said today.

Afghan and coalition forces clashed with Taliban insurgents in the volatile south and called in airstrikes, killing more than a dozen suspected militants, the coalition said today.
