Two Irishmen are in a critical but stable condition in hospital after the single engine plane they were flying in narrowly missed an apartment building and crashed into a public park in Florida.

A student pilot, on his first solo flight from a Florida airport, stole the plane and flew to Havana, crash landing the Cessna on a rocky coastline.
