THREE young sailors who were aboard tall ships as trainees this summer have given the experience a “thumbs-up” and encouraged others to sign up for next year.

Round-the-world record breaker Ellen MacArthur described her welcome as “overwhelming” as she arrived back in Falmouth, England today to be greeted by thousands of well-wishers.
