Nasa’s lone surviving Mars rover Opportunity is scouting the landscape in search of a place to spend its fifth winter.

The Mars rover Opportunity is snapping pictures like a tourist since arriving at its latest crater on the Red Planet, much to the delight of scientists many millions of miles away.

THE Mars rover vehicle, Opportunity, is nearing the rim of a vast crater to begin a new round of exploration.
