An organisation formed specifically to improve pay and conditions for members of the Defence Forces is planning a major protest march on the Dáil.

The government has spent €2m on reassuring the nation that it has a plan to cope with any upcoming major national disasters.

The latest exchequer figures published today are expected to show that tax revenues boomed in the past year.
