The future of the National Children’s Hospital depends on a jackpot windfall from new lottery operators over the coming weeks, the Government has confirmed.

More than €200m has already been spent on transport projects being put on ice, most of it on Metro North and the Dart Underground.

The Government is set to announce the postponement and cancellation of several large-scale infrastructural projects.
