A suspected drug dealer was shot dead on his birthday by the Provisional IRA during its ceasefire, an inquest heard today.

The 37-year-old man who was shot dead in the Waterside area of Derry last night has been named locally as Christopher 'Cricky' O'Kane, a notorious drug dealer.
