A Dundalk man charged with conspiracy to cause an explosion outside an Armagh police station in April failed to be granted bail by the Special Criminal Court today.

A Dundalk man appeared before the Special Criminal Court this morning charged with conspiracy to cause an explosion outside an Armagh police station last month.

Police confirmed today they have launched an investigation after shots were fired at a PSNI station.

At least 19 police officers were injured today when crowds attacked two security force watchtowers on the South Armagh border and then broke into Crossmaglen police station attacking police and troops inside.
