Landslides and floods caused by heavy monsoon rains have killed at least 76 in southern Bangladesh and rescuers are searching for more missing people, officials said.

Rampaging wild elephants destroyed huts and sent villagers fleeing after one of their herd was killed by poachers in southeastern Bangladesh, a conservation official said today.
