Gamblers Anonymous Awareness Week gets under way today amid increasing numbers of people seeking help since the introduction of internet gambling, new casinos and longer opening hours for bookmakers.

Gardai in Co Cavan are appealing for help in trying to locate the whereabouts of a 20-year-old man who went missing from his home in Coothill last Friday.
