Up to 80% of children in Belfast’s most deprived areas are living in poverty, it was claimed tonight.

Conway Mill in west Belfast is in line for a facelift after the British government agreed to significant extra investment, the MP for the area said tonight.

A plan for a massive £100m (€147m) regeneration of west Belfast and the greater Shankill areas was submitted to the British government today.
