Mexico City authorities say they have arrested a police officer and another man in connection with the abduction and killing of 12 young people, who were taken in May from a bar near the US Embassy in broad daylight.

Mexico City’s health secretary announced that all businesses – including sports arenas, dance halls, movie theatres and all restaurants – will be allowed to operate today.

At least 19 people were killed when a strong earthquake shook west-central Mexico sending panicked residents spilling into the streets of major cities and knocking out power to many areas, officials said today.
