A 34-YEAR-OLD dairy and beef producer from near Claremorris, Co Mayo, who has been chosen as Ireland’s Young Farmer of the Year, believes there is a bright future for agriculture.

THE days of milking cows at nine or 10 o’clock at night are gone for the modern Irish milk producer.

The 13-year-old girl, who was killed in a road accident in Co Louth last night, has been named as Jennifer Kane from Castlecarra of Riverstown in Dundalk.
