FOUR members of a winning Lotto syndicate have won their Supreme Court appeal against a previous order that another man, who was in arrears on his contributions, is entitled to a one-fifth share of their €1.57 million prize.

Lotto syndicates all over the country watched in amazement yesterday as a High Court judge ruled in favour of a man who claimed a one-fifth share of a €2m Lotto prize — despite the man having failed to pay any money towards the lotto tickets for nine months.
