A man is due to be charged today in connection with the fatal stabbing of his former friend, father-of-three Jason Flannery, in Ballymun, Dublin, on Thursday.

A Junior Cert party thrown by parents for their daughter turned to tragedy yesterday when the girl’s father was stabbed to death in a row with neighbours over noise.

Two men - in their early twenties - are this evening being questioned by Gardaí investigating a fatal knife attack in Dublin.
