A Co Limerick community is "numb and deeply saddened" at the sudden death of a teenage girl from the area.

A special Secret Service mission ordered by John F Kennedy involved a search for a precious heirloom from the old family homestead in Bruff, it was recalled yesterday in the Co Limerick town.

Bruff emerged in brilliant sunshine yesterday to stake its rightful place in the heritage of the Kennedy clan.
