The mother of a teenager who raised £3.2m (€3.9m) for charity during his fight against bowel cancer has praised his bravery and expressed pride at his "inspirational" efforts to help others.

A terminally-ill teenager who has raised more than £1.6m (€1.94m) for charity has said he is “still fighting” as donations from the public continue to roll in thanks to his fundraising efforts.
