A man charged with arriving at a house in Cork while armed first with a hurley and later with a machete was allegedly involved in family feud, it was claimed by gardaí.

Shots were fired on a Traveller halting site and tensions are running high after a man who lives on the site was acquitted of a machete attack on another resident.
