The RNLI will launch a renewed drowning prevention campaign today after the third inland water drowning tragedy in a week.

ONLY three of the raised bogs on which turf cutting for domestic use must stop at end of 2011 are in Munster.

ACCORDING to Environment Minister John Gormley, a recent review confirmed continuing bog damage, with losses of the remaining raised bog at a rate of 2% to 4% per annum.
