Two candidates have been nominated to contest the ICSA presidential election on Dec 12.

THE approval of Ireland’s revised Rural Development Programme by Brussels was described as a positive development yesterday by the president- elect of the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers’ Association.

Sligo farmer Gabriel Gilmartin has been elected president of the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers’ Association (ICSA) at last night’s vote in Portlaoise.

THE campaign is well under way for the election of the next president of the Irish Farmers Association.
