Shamrock Rovers’ European adventure of last year won’t see a repeat in 2012 as they bowed tamely out of the Champions League in Lithuania last night.

Given their poor domestic form to date this year in defence of their back-to-back titles, the result at the Aukstaitijos Stadium this evening looks set to define Rovers’ season.
