Lawyers for a Dublin man convicted of strangling his partner of seven years told the Court of Criminal appeal today that it was “unprecedented” for the jury at the original trial to have been shown photographs of the victim’s body.

The jury in the trial of a Dublin man accused of murdering his girlfriend in their flat last year will resume their deliberations later this morning.

A jury has been sworn in for the trial of a 33 year-old man accused of murdering Amanda Jenkins at a flat in central Dublin last year.
