A controversial €6m road upgrade to help open Cork’s sprawling south docklands for more development has been given the green light despite claims the planning process was flawed.

Campaigners in Cork are urging a rethink of a proposed roads revamp in the city docklands which, they say, is the start of the city’s flood defence works.

GARDAÍ are investigating a number of separate complaints from pro-Lisbon groups after their posters were vandalised and the offices of TDs targeted.
