AN Israeli probe ruled yesterday that a deadly May 2010 raid on a flotilla of Gaza-bound aid ships, which killed nine Turkish activists and soured ties with Ankara, did not violate international law.

The Israeli cabinet today gave final approval for an official investigation into the navy’s attack on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla two weeks ago, with the North's former first minister David Trimble one of two international participants.
