CORK’S Tony Healy cemented his place as top seed when defeating Dublin’s Eoin Kennedy to take his third consecutive senior men’s crown at the Envirogreen Resource Nationals in Kilkenny yesterday.

The weekend’s handball action went according to the script, as all the top seeds survived their respective DALKIA Senior Singles Championship clashes to confirm quarter-final spots.

Following a three-month break from the game, Cavan’s Paul Brady returns to competitive handball action this weekend where he takes on Antrim’s Owen McKenna in the DALKIA Senior Singles quarter-final.
