TV3 has said the search for a buyer of the 45% of the company put up for sale by Canadian media group CanWest earlier this year is in “the final stages”.

ULSTER Television has launched a €130 million bid for The Wireless Group, which runs Britain’s largest commercial talk radio station.

Up to three buyers remain in the race to take over the company, which provides TV and broadband high-speed internet access services to over 300,000 homes in Dublin, Galway and Waterford.
