The founder of US cable television giant Adelphia Communications was arrested today along with two of his sons and accused of looting the now-bankrupt company and using it as their ‘‘personal piggy bank.’’

The FBI believes an anthrax-laced letter to US Senator Patrick Leahy, belatedly found last week, was written by the same person who sent a tainted letter to Senator Tom Daschle last month.
