DNA from the man suspected of stabbing Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh matches traces found on his clothes and the knife used to kill her, a Swedish prosecutor said in Stockholm today.

Swedish police have completed their investigation into stabbing of Foreign Minister Anna Lindh and are ready to try the lone suspect for murder.

An apparently deranged man ploughed a car into a crowd of people in Stockholm’s historic old town today, killing a 54-year-old woman and injuring 28 other pedestrians, police said.
