Early warning indicators point to a delayed Covid-19 milk price crisis, warned the IFCN dairy research network last week.

The global dairy price slump showed no sign of ending this week, with the globalDairyTrade auction index falling again Tuesday, by 9.3%.

Controlling the cost of milk production in Ireland may be the key to finding markets for products made from Ireland’s extra milk after 2015— more important than milk price, according to the International Farm Comparison Network.
