The mayor of Cincinnati today relaxed the city’s dusk-to-dawn curfew in response to a calm night following the funeral of a black man whose shooting by police triggered a week of unrest.

Police have increased security as the family were attending the funeral of a young black man who was shot by police and sparked three days of rioting Cincinnati.

Cincinnati’s mayor has declared a state of emergency and imposed a curfew amid the worst outbreak of racial violence in the Ohio city since the aftermath of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr in 1968.
