EOIN DOYLE’S The Fonze won the 16th race of his life when giving an exhibition of jumping in the Limerick Junction Chase at Tipperary last night.

EOIN Doyle and Shay Barry started the New Year as they ended 2009, with a double at Tramore, highlighted by the victory of course specialist The Fonze in the featured Waterford & Tramore Racecourse Supporters Chase, a race in which he finished third last year.

Connections of Glenfinn Captain are optimistic of a good run from last year’s winner in the rescheduled Clonmel Oil Chase tomorrow.

ONE COOL COOKIE, a strong order morning prices and from 4-6 to 1-2 on track, duly did the business in the first section of the Fillet Beef-Medium Rare Maiden Hurdle at Limerick yesterday.
