A man who beat another man to death with a pickaxe handle has been sentenced to 12 years in jail at the Central Criminal Court.

A Dublin GAA fan who beat a man to death with a pickaxe handle was today sentenced to 10 years in prison for manslaughter.

The partner of a man beaten to death with a pick axe in West Dublin has told the Central Criminal Court that her four-year-old daughter asks her every day "when is daddy coming back?".
