The family of a Waterford teen who suffered severe burns in an alleged acid attack has said the local community has rallied to support them.

A teenager who was the victim of a suspected acid attack in Waterford says his sight is coming back.

The Republic of Ireland managers have reached out to Tega Agberhiere.

Christie Agberhiere told local radio station WLR that she hopes such an attack “never happens to anyone else's child.”

A bomb ripped through a crowded market in an Indonesian province plagued by sectarian violence early today, killing eight people and wounding 45 others. Many victims were believed to be Christians.
