EUROPEAN champions Real Madrid have beaten Olimpia of Paraguay 2-0 to win the World Club Cup for the third time, emphatically bringing to an end a poor run of results this season.

European champs Real Madrid take on the South American champions in the final of the Intercontinental Cup in Yokohama this morning.

A last-minute blunder by Paraguayan second-choice keeper Ricardo Tavarelli allowed Quinton Fortune to snatch a 2-2 draw for South Africa from the penalty spot as group B kicked off in Busan.

South Africa captain Lucas Radebe will establish one first when he walks on to the pitch on Sunday to face Paraguay - and he hopes he will have helped set another by the time he steps off it.
