THERE was double medal success for the Irish on their final day of competition at the 24th World University Games in Bangkok yesterday, with Danielle McVeigh from Kilkeel in Co Down winning individual gold and the team of McVeigh, Niamh Kitching and Gillian O’Leary taking silver in the women’s golf competition at the Watermills Golf venue.
