Eleven human rights activists, including two local heads of Amnesty International, who were charged with links to terror groups will go on trial in Turkey on October 25.

An Istanbul court has ordered six human rights activists - including Amnesty International's Turkey director - to be formally arrested pending a trial on charges of aiding an armed terror group.

Amnesty International's chairman in Turkey has been arrested on charges of membership of a terror group, the country's official news agency said.
